Day 9 of 30 Days of Yoga // Some post run flows with @joshkrameryoga today. My legs felt like jello because I’m currently training for a half marathon, and when Josh asked us to do a grasshopper (it’s a hard pose I swear) I sat that one out and just stretched instead. IT’S OKAY to know your limits - I probably would’ve hurt myself if I tried that pose and I’m at peace with that. But now, thanks to #30daysofmindfulmovement, maybe I can work towards the grasshopper pose one day if I want! // #30daytrials @aloyoga
So fun fact: today I started training for a half marathon later in the spring (it’s going so sneak up on me in the blink of an eye, ah!), so today’s flows were post-run and I am very, very sweaty. Class with Josh Kramer was great and really pushed me to my limits. But I made sure I didn’t push myself too much in today’s class. My legs felt like jello from my run, so when Josh asked us to go into a super challenging pose, I knew I didn’t want to hurt myself and sat and stretched instead. As you can see from the video above, I sat out the grasshopper (below is a screenshot from the class if you’re not a well-versed yogi):
So far in #30daysofmindfulmovement, Alo Yoga has taught me a lot about myself. And today, they taught me where my limits are. And it’s okay that I couldn’t do that pose. It’s something I can work towards one day if I choose! If you want to see how yesterday went, check out 30 Days of Yoga: Day 8!
