30 Days of Yoga: Day 20

Before I ever started doing yoga, the only pose I knew off the top of my head was the tree pose. Twenty days in, I finally get to do the tree pose! Class with Calvin Corzine engaged my muscles while also stretching them out.

Thank you to #30daysofmindfulmovement with Alo Yoga for expanding my yoga horizons!

30 Days of Yoga: Day 19

At a towering 5′ 4″ I’m not exactly the lankiest person out there, but Andrew Sealy‘s class helped me feel super elongated and stretched out! I felt more limber and loved how today’s class helped me relax.

Loving #30daysofmindfulmovement with  Alo Yoga. Check out how yesterday went: 30 Days of Yoga: Day 18!

30 Days of Yoga: Day 18

Class with Caitlin Turner was so smooth and flowy (it was a yoga flow, after all!). I felt graceful and also really pushed myself with today’s class. Being able to do the poses in these classes have really helped my confidence while also giving me something to work towards (there is always room for improvement!). Ended class feeling relaxed and peaceful.

Loving #30daysofmindfulmovement with Alo Yoga and everything it has given me! To see how yesterday went, check out 30 Days of Yoga: Day 17.

30 Days of Yoga: Day 17

Koya Webb‘s class served as a great reminder to not get caught up in the complications in life and to instead remember the basics. During this class, Koya reminded me to focus on my breathing. But in doing so, Koya also reminded me to focus on the little things that are important in my life in general.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the big complications or the overthinking (which I have an inkling is never helpful) but sometimes you just need to slow down and focus on the most basic things. Thankful for #30daysofmindfulmovement with Alo Yoga for showing and teaching me so much! Check out 30 Days of Yoga: Day 16!

30 Days of Yoga: Day 16

Today marked the start of the “mindfulness” section of #30daysofmindfulmovement with Alo Yoga (the past few days have been “energizing”) and class with Caley Alyssa was so wonderful! The first class of the entire series was also taught by Caley and because it was the new year, she had us set intentions. At first, intentions seemed inscrutable, as I had never set an intention in my life. But I’ve learned! In today’s class, she had us check in with ourselves and see how we’ve been doing with those intentions.

Today’s flow was simple and slow but really allowed me to check in with myself throughout. Loved it! To see how yesterday went, visit 30 Days of Yoga: Day 15!

30 Days of Yoga: Day 15

I can’t believe I’m at the halfway mark!!! Today’s class with Sheila really got me energized and ready to tackle the day. I felt bad because I skipped yesterday because life happened – but I won’t let that discourage me!

I’ve been loving #30daysofmindfulmovement with Alo Yoga. Excited to see how the second half of this challenge goes. Check out 30 Days of Yoga: Day 14.

30 Days of Yoga: Day 14

Class with Andrew Sealy left me feeling energetic and stretchy! He warmed us up and got us to do our standing splits, which I did not realize I had to begin with. I guess my dance background helped me out here, but it was a nice reminder that I still have some of that stretchiness left in me! I did realize which leg was my dominant one, so I’m thankful for yoga for teaching me new things about my body.

As always, loving Alo Yoga #30daysofmindfulmovement so far. Check out how yesterday went in my last post, 30 Days of Yoga: Day 13!
